Run in a unique environment in the world

The 110K and 73K versions of the race traverse the Teide National Park, declared a Unesco World Heritage Site

Held from 6th to 8th June 2024, the Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB is one of the most varied mountain races to exist, thanks to the diversity of the landscapes through which it runs and its technical demands.

Few other events give runners the chance to start from the coast, run between rock formations and volcanic peaks, climb among the jagged rocks of lava flows, take a break while contemplating the island in its entirety from the 3,555-metre summit of Teide and then descend steeply through pine and laurel forests to the coastal paths on the north coast.

During the race, you’ll also get the chance to admire the 'sea of clouds', an impressive natural phenomenon created by the trade winds that looks like a calm sea formed by fluffy clouds from the summit.

But the Tenerife race is not just designed for titans. As well as the 110K, 73K, 47K categories – together with the 47K Relay version - and the 24K that are part of the UTMB® World Series, it is also suitable for all types of amateur and professional athletes of different ages and fitness levels. There are also two exclusive categories for people with some kind of functional diversity, who can also enjoy the experience of taking part in a unique sporting event.

Can you see why they call it ‘magic’?
