Cabildo inspects the 14 provisioning points on the Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB®

The security and logistics operation for the race, which will take place from 6 to 8 June, will involve more than 700 people.

The organisers of the Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB®, the highest mountain race in Spain, which will take place from the 6 to 8 June, recently visited the 14 provisioning points that will be set up on the day of the race, distributed along the routes of each of the categories.

The visit included an inspection of the provisioning points located at Chayofa, Ifonche, Vilaflor, Madre del Agua, Parador, La Rambleta, Minas de San José, Portillo Alto, La Cadera, Los Picachos, el Asomadero, Tigaiga, Maritim as well as the finishing area. During their visit, organisers wanted to check the location of the tents and security stations that will be set up on certain stretches of the various categories to respond to any incident that may occur for the participants. Provisioning points on the Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB® will provide the participants with water, juices and isotonic drinks throughout the race. Participants will also have access to fruit, sandwiches, nuts, dates, “pellas de gofio”, gumdrops, soups and gluten-free and vegan options, along with other products, depending on the difficulty of the race and the distance from the previous provisioning point.

The next edition of the race will provide 15,382 litres of water, 2,792 litres of isotonic drinks and 1,520 litres of soft drinks. There will also be more than 3,200 kilos of fruit, 143 kilos of nuts, 167 kilos of gumdrops and 30 kilos of “gofio”. A total of 11 provisioning points line the 110K route, while the 73K will have seven points. The 47K will have five points and the 24K will have three pit stops along the route. As for the Vertical, there will be a provisioning point at El Asomadero.
