Cabildo de Tenerife and Fred. Olsen Express renew the agreement to reduce travel costs for participants of the Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB®

The company, renewing its sponsorship of the event, will offer a 15% discount to the runners and their companions

The island's Sports Councillor, Yolanda Moliné, and the Managing Director of Fred. Olsen S.A., Andrés Marín, have today renewed the agreement that will allow participants in the upcoming Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB® to benefit from discounted transfers. Registered athletes can take advantage of the company's special 'Sport' fare, offering an additional 15% discount for traveling with their companions to Spain's highest mountain race, which will take place from June 6th to 8th.

Fred. Olsen Express' 'Sport' fare, a benefit the shipping company has been offering to runners for several years, is now available through all the usual sales channels of the maritime company for trips between June 5th and 10th. The only essential condition is that at least one member of the booking is registered for the race.

The Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB®, organized by the Cabildo through the public company Ideco, has this year integrated for the first time into the UTMB® World Series, the world's most important trail running circuit.

The upcoming edition of the event offers ten modalities, including four race categories through which to earn Running Stones and qualify for the most important mountain race of its kind: the Dacia UTMB® Mont-Blanc, held at the end of August in Chamonix, France. Specifically, these are the Tenerife Bluetrail 110K/ 6,250m+ (100M category - 4 Running Stones); the Tenerife Bluetrail 73K / 3,150m+ (100K category - 3 Running Stones); the Tenerife Bluetrail 47K /2,600m+ (50K category - 2 Running Stones); and the Tenerife Bluetrail 24K / 1,300m+ (20K category - 1 Running Stone).

These races are complemented by other modalities such as the Tenerife Bluetrail 47K Relay, a 47-kilometer relay race, and the Vertical Night Challenge, covering 3.5 kilometers. The children's, family, and adapted races of the Reto and Joëlettes complete the range of events for the 2024 edition.

Registrations to experience the Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB®, one of the only two races in Spain that are part of the world's best trail running circuit, are still open on the event's website tenerife.utmb.world.
